Introduction

I spent over ten years working as an in-house interpreter. I experienced many things over time, but nothing surprised me as much as the rise of AI. For the first time, I truly realized that technology might one day replace what I do. I found myself caught between two thoughts — “What am I going to do now?” and “What exactly is AI?” It was a mix of anxiety and curiosity that pushed me out of my comfort zone. The rapid progress of AI gave new energy to what had become a rather steady and predictable routine. I wanted to understand: How could AI possibly take over something human used to do? That question led me to the world of software development.

Now, I’m studying backend development through a bootcamp, learning Python, Django, FastAPI, and AWS. I’ve built small Python quiz apps, practiced managing data with SQL Workbench, and spent time understanding how backend systems are structured for efficiency and scalability. For me, learning to code isn’t just about writing syntax — it’s about understanding how systems work and how data flows within them.

When people ask me what I plan to do with all this, my honest answer is still, “I’m not sure yet.” But I do know this: I understand a bit more about development and AI than I did last month — and every day, I’m getting closer to understanding the technology that once made me anxious. One thing I’ve learned for certain is that learning in this field never ends. New frameworks appear overnight, and yesterday’s knowledge quickly becomes outdated. It’s a fast, humbling world — and that’s what makes it exciting.

So I’ll keep pedaling forward — tomorrow, next month, and next year — somewhere between AI, development, and my old life as an interpreter. My hope is to become someone who’s both useful to others and quietly proud of what I create, a developer who keeps learning, one day at a time.
